How important is weed control on my property?

Weeds can become a major problem if left unattended. They can spread seed into the soil and spread. As weeds establish the cost grows exponentially over time. This can devalue your property and inhibit the natural vegetation habitat values. Some weeds are also required to be controlled according to legislation.

Some of Australia’s most invasive plants include Weeds of National Significance (WONS), Lantana (Lantana camara), Cat’s Claw Creeper (Dolichandra unguis-cati), Salvinia (Salvinia molesta) and Asparagus Fern species such as Asparagus plumosis. WONS weeds are required to be controlled by the landowner.

Will it cost a lot of money if I don’t have time to do weed control work myself?

We are cost effective contractors who deliver work of a high standard above most other industry practitioners. We do this through the provision of the best tools and equipment, on-going training and knowledge enhancement and a wealth of industry experience utilising various ‘best practice’ techniques.

What if I don’t want to use chemicals on my property?

We use minimal herbicide and manual techniques where possible. Our methods include very thorough primary work which can minimise and/or prevent the need for follow up treatment. FRE Field Technicians are licenced and trained in safe herbicide ground distribution.

A do nothing approach to let weeds take over natural areas is not a viable solution because the wildlife loses habitat and weeds spread from the source point.
